Welcome to my web page where you can learn about me and my PhD project. I am from Pakistan and I started my PhD in Department of Animal and Plant Sciences in January 2009. My PhD is on vector dynamics and dengue in which I am working on population genetics of vector mosquito i.e Aedes aegypti using DNA microsatellite markers and will investigate the vertical transmission of dengue virus from infected mosquitoes to its offspring, a mechanism by which this virus survives unfavourable conditions. I am sponsored by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan under Faculty Development Programe of University of Peshawar.
